Doreen is a brave 10-year-old girl from a very गरीब and vulnerable family in rural Uganda. Her life took a painful turn when she developed a serious medical condition—a liver tumor that caused severe swelling of her abdomen due to fluid buildup (ascites). This condition has made even the simplest activities, like walking, extremely painful and difficult for her. Before getting help, Doreen’s situation was critical. Her family could not afford medical care, proper nutrition, or even basic daily needs. With no stable support system, her condition continued to worsen, putting her life at serious risk. That’s when Kiseitaka Children’s Foundation Uganda stepped in. As a community-based organization dedicated to helping vulnerable children, the foundation took responsibility for supporting Doreen’s medical journey and her family’s survival needs.
